Friday, October 27 - Online form due (including repertoire)
Sunday, November 19 - Auditions at ACU in the WPAC Recital Hall. Auditions begin at 6:00 pm unless earlier time is needed for number of performers
Thursday, April 11, 2024 - Concert, Abilene Convention Center

Guidelines and Information
The competition is biennial.
All students in the music departments at ACU, HSU, and McM are eligible.
Pieces must be submitted to Dr. Ward to determine suitability for the ensemble and availability of the music. (This is included on the online form)
Length - approximately 15 minutes maximum. Individual movements are acceptable.
Outside judges will be used.
Students graduating in December ARE eligible for the competition, but you must commit to the dates for the concert, the dress rehearsal(s), and perhaps one other rehearsal arranged with Dr. Ward.
Memorization required. *Some works might bear special consideration, for example more modern works, etc. If you feel that your work deserves such consideration, include that on the form when you submit your piece to Dr. Ward, and your work will be reviewed by representatives from the instrumental, piano, and vocal divisions.
Must perform with an accompanist for the audition.
